bookbook.eu plastic reduction initiative

We love nature! We understand how important everyone’s contribution is to environmental protection, so since 2021 we have minimized plastic use as much as possible.

We’re happy to share that we have reduced plastic in our parcels by 99%*!

✔️ Books and other items reach customers in eco-friendly, recyclable ♻️ boxes.

✔️ Boxes are sealed with more biodegradable paper tape – or not taped at all when possible.

✔️ We have completely discontinued envelopes with plastic.

✔️ To protect books during transport, we use recyclable crumpled paper.

✔️ What’s more, bookbook.eu was the first bookstore to choose to pack purchased books only in paper bags (we deliberately did not use plastic shopping bags).

✔️ Waste at bookbook.eu is sorted and sent for recycling.

*The remaining 1% covers rare, unforeseen cases where – due to specific product characteristics – plastic cannot be avoided to prevent damage during transport.
