How to read e-books in ACSM format?

You’ll find a wide selection of e-books on bookbook.eu. Some are provided as protected ACSM files. Here you’ll find all the information you need on how to download, open, and read these files on your computer or phone.

IMPORTANT: For the best experience with protected ACSM books, we recommend creating an Adobe account. With your account, you can easily access your e-books on all your devices (computer, phone, or tablet). Create one here.

How to download and read ACSM books on a computer

1. Download the free Adobe Digital Editions app. To read on a computer, get the app here

2. Choose from hundreds of thousands of books, add them to your cart, pay, and then go to your e-book library in your bookbook.eu profile.

3. Download the ACSM file to your computer and double-click it. 

4. If this is your first time, you’ll need to authorize your computer to read ACSM books. We recommend creating and using an Adobe ID. If you already have one, enter your Adobe ID and password and click Authorize. If you don’t have an Adobe ID, click Create an Adobe ID. 

5. After authorization, the book will appear in your digital library. 

6. IMPORTANT: To read the book on your smart devices, you must authorize those devices with the same Adobe ID. Otherwise, you won’t be able to transfer the book to your device. 

How to download and read ACSM books on smart devices

1. Download the Adobe Digital Editions app to your device. Get the iOS version here, and the Android version here.

2. Open the app and authorize your device. Tap the menu icon at the top left and select Settings. Then tap Authorize and enter your Adobe ID credentials. If you don’t have one, tap Create an Adobe ID. Settings.

3.Choose from hundreds of thousands of books, add them to your cart, pay, and go to your e-book library in your bookbook.eu profile. 

4. Download the ACSM file to your device and open it with Adobe Digital Editions.. 

5. IMPORTANT: If you also want to read the book on your computer, you must authorize the computer with the same Adobe ID. Otherwise, you won’t be able to open and read the book on your computer.
